MCP

An MCP source connects GESCON to a server compatible with Model Context Protocol and lets you choose which tools agents can use.

Connecting a server

  1. Open Settings > Data > MCP and select Add MCP server.
  2. Enter a name, description, and server URL.
  3. Choose token or OAuth authentication and complete authorization.
  4. Review the discovered tools and enable only those that are required.
  5. Save the server and add it to the context of the relevant agents.
Permissions and authentication

Use credentials dedicated to GESCON and limit their permissions on the source server so you retain control over the MCP resources that GESCON can access.

Changes and disconnection

If the URL, authentication, or tool list changes, review the agents that use the server. Deleting it removes those tools from every associated agent.
