API

An API source lets agents call authorized HTTP operations. Viewing it requires Sources Configuration Read; creating or editing it requires Sources Configuration Write.

Creating an API source​

  1. Open Settings > Data > API and select Add API.
  2. Enter a name, description, and base URL.
  3. Configure the authentication required by the service.
  4. Load endpoints from an OpenAPI file or URL, or define them manually.
  5. Save and test the connection before assigning it to an agent.
API permissions

Use credentials associated with users or service accounts that can access only the required operations. Whenever possible, use credentials dedicated to GESCON for greater control.

Updating or deleting​

After changing authentication or endpoints, retest the agents that use the source. Before deleting it, review which agents depend on it.
