Widgets

A widget embeds GESCON agents in an authorized website. The list shows the name, state, associated agents, and creation or update dates.

Creating a widget

Select Create widget to open the form:

  1. Data: name, description, origin URL, and state.
  2. Configuration: select one or more agents that will answer queries.
  3. Confirmation: the application displays the conditions and associated cost before creation.

The origin URL must match the website that will host the widget.

Embedding it in a website

To use the widget on the external website, first select View on its card. The dialog provides the embed snippet and lets you choose the button position. Copy this script into the website's source code.

GESCON accepts an external user identifier through u-id or uId. Use it only when the integration can reliably control identity. Without an identifier, conversations are treated as anonymous and have limited access.

Editing or deleting

Editing lets you change information, domain, state, and agents. After changing the domain, test the widget on the real website.

Test environment

Before embedding the widget on a production website, integrate it into a test site and confirm its behavior to avoid exposing unintended information or breaking existing functionality.

Deletion requires confirmation and cannot be undone from the interface. Deactivation is preferable when you only need a temporary suspension. After deleting a widget, remove the previously added script from the website.
